Unfortunately all good things must come to an end. In the interests of the turtles that breed at Mon Repos and of the park area generally, we have decided to reduce operation to cabins only after the long weekend in May (3 May 2010). The busiest time at Turtle Sands clashes with the turtle season from mid October to the end of March each year. It is not practical from an operational and financial perspective to operate only during the rest of the year. Turtle Sands will be closed for a period of time from 3 May 2010 to allow for renovations.
